FlightPath Privacy Policy

Effective October 2, 2026

FlightPath is a disc golf practice app. This page explains what it stores and why. The short version: your practice data is yours, it exists so the app can show you your own stats, and nobody else gets it.

What we collect

Account: your email address and a password (stored hashed), used only to sign you in. Optionally a username, used so friends can find you.

Practice data you create: throws (including the GPS location of where discs land during field sessions), putting, accuracy and tunnel results, your disc bag, photos you take of your discs, and voice notes you record while practicing (with their transcripts). Weather conditions are attached to sessions automatically.

Location is used to measure throw distances and is stored as part of your throw data. It is only captured during sessions you start.

How it's processed

Data is stored with Supabase (database, authentication and file storage). Voice notes are transcribed by Groq and interpreted by Anthropic to turn what you said into structured throw data and short coaching notes; these services process the audio/text to provide the feature and are not permitted to use it otherwise. Weather comes from Open-Meteo using an approximate location.

What we don't do

No ads. No selling or sharing of your data. No tracking you across other apps or websites. No analytics beyond what the features above require.

Friends

If you add a friend and they accept, you can each see the other's practice statistics (throws, putting, accuracy and tunnel results) inside the app. Removing a friend ends that access.

Deleting your data

In the app: Settings → Delete account. This permanently removes your account and everything attached to it — throws, putts, photos, voice notes, friendships. There is no recovery.
